Privacy Policy

Last updated October 1, 2026

This policy explains what Linkly collects when you visit the site, apply as a creator, use the creator workspace, or click a Linkly short link, and how that information is used. Questions can go to partnerships@link-ly.link.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Linkly, we may hold:

  • Application and account details: name, email address, social handle or Facebook Group link, the description of your content that you submit, and the PayPal payout email if you save one.
  • Workspace data: the product links you create, short link codes, and payout preferences you choose to save.
  • Click records: when someone opens a Linkly short link we record the redirect: a timestamp, the full IP address of the request, the country when our hosting provides it, the referrer, and the browser user-agent.
  • Financial records: retailer-reported transaction and attribution identifiers, sale and commission amounts, transaction status and adjustments, commission shares, and withdrawal requests associated with creator accounts. Affiliate identifiers may be sent to retailers to attribute eligible transactions.
  • Messages: what you enter in the contact form is stored so we can read and answer it. Submitting the form does not by itself send an email.

Cookies and sign-in

Linkly uses cookies and similar browser storage that are essential for signing in and keeping your session secure. These are provided through our authentication provider, Clerk. Essential security or hosting cookies may also be used when you browse without signing in.

We do not currently run our own advertising or marketing cookies on this site. Third-party affiliate cookies may be used after you follow a link to a retailer, as described below.

Click analytics

Click counts shown in a creator workspace come from clicks recorded by Linkly on the short link. A recorded click shows that a link was opened. It does not confirm a purchase.

Creators see aggregate click information for their own links. We use click data to operate the service, prevent abuse and detect invalid traffic.

Third-party affiliate tracking

Our service providers include Clerk (sign-in and sessions), our hosting provider Replit, and Google Fonts, which serves the site's typefaces; your browser's request to Google Fonts exposes your IP address to Google under Google's privacy policy. Linkly short links forward visitors to retailer product pages, currently Walmart and Amazon, with affiliate identifiers attached. Once you reach a retailer, that retailer and its affiliate network or provider (for example Impact for Walmart) handle your data under their own privacy policies and may set their own cookies to attribute purchases. We do not control those practices; please read their notices.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run Linkly (hosting, authentication, database), with affiliate networks and retailers as described above, with creators as described for aggregate link activity, when required by law, or to protect against fraud and abuse.

Retention

We keep application, account, link and click records while your account or the service operates and for as long as needed for commission reconciliation, payouts, tax and accounting, dispute handling and security. Click records, including IP addresses, are kept as described here, and contact messages are kept until we no longer need them to respond or keep records. You can ask us to delete or correct information; we may keep what the law or legitimate record keeping requires.

Security

Access to workspaces requires authentication, and connections to Linkly use HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account is compromised, contact us right away.

Legal bases and international processing

Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we process information to provide the service you request, meet legal obligations, and pursue legitimate interests such as service security, abuse prevention and responding to inquiries. Where consent is required for optional tracking, it must be obtained before that tracking is used.

Our service providers may process information outside your country. Applicable transfer safeguards and data protection requirements must be followed. You can contact us for information about processing and applicable safeguards.

Your choices

  • You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, though sign-in will not work without essential cookies.
  • Many browsers and extensions let you limit tracking by retailers and affiliate networks; doing so may stop commissions from being attributed.
  • You can ask to access, correct or delete your information by emailing partnerships@link-ly.link.

Rights by jurisdiction

Depending on where you live, including in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and some US states such as California, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise a right, email partnerships@link-ly.link; we may need to verify your identity. You may also contact your local data protection authority.

Children

Linkly is not directed to children under 13 and creator accounts are for adults.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. Contact partnerships@link-ly.link or use the contact page. See also our Terms and Affiliate Disclosure.
